Marshall Sweeney Obituary

Mr. Marshall Lee Sweeney was born on May 21, 1935 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to James & Ruby Rhodes Sweeney. Marshall attended Bowling Green School District and later moved to Indianapolis.

Marshall was employed by Herff Jones for 30 years retiring in 1996.  Anyone that knew Marshall knows he loved working with his hands and staying busy. Marshall would always find himself under the hood of a car or working in his yard.

Marshall married the love of his life Sherry Meadows on May 22, 1993 and recently celebrated 26 years of marriage. He was crazy about Sherry and she was crazy about him, and to this union two children were born, Ieesha and Quincy. Marshall loved to listen to his music, barbecuing his famous ribs and being around his family, especially all of his grandchildren.

Mr. Marshall Lee Sweeney departed this life on Monday, June 24, 2019 after an extended illness. Marshall is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Marshall leaves his precious memories to be cherished by his loving wife, Sherry Sweeney; children, Jerome Tinsley, Rosie (James II) Day, Trudy Holly, Ieesha (David) Lisenby, Michael (Jayisha) Sweeney Sr. and Quincy (Dionna) Sweeney Sr.; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
