Lionel Bobbitt Obituary

Mr. Lionel Ceon Bobbitt, son of the late Frank Bobbitt, Sr. and Canary B. Ivory Bobbitt, was born January 12, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN.

Lionel attended Francis W. Parker, #56 Public Schools and was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he was an A&P Mechanic. He received an honorable discharge after 4 years of service in 1974. He later received an associate degree in Computer Science from Clark College.

Lionel professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Martindale Church of Christ.

Lionel was employed by Defense Finance and Accounting Services as a computer programmer. He retired after 33 years of service in 2013.

Lionel loved and cherished his family above all things and dedicated a lot of time to them. In addition, he loved music, dancing, playing cards and chess. He especially loved playing basketball in his younger days.

On Thursday November 15, 2018, Mr. Lionel Bobbitt departed this life at the age of 65 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Bobbitt Sr.; two brothers, Frank Bobbitt Jr. and Anthony Bobbitt; and daughter Rashonda Bobbitt.

Mr. Lionel Ceon Bobbitt leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Corlina Dale Fennell Bobbitt; sons, Karl “Jason” Bobbitt (Jennifer), Christopher Bobbitt; daughters, Carmon Bobbitt and Tiffany Bobbitt; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; loving mother Canary Bobbitt; brother Roger Bobbitt (Mary); sisters Cheryl Dodson, Genita Jones, Nina Bobbitt, and Brenda Bobbitt; one aunt Azzie Bobbitt; three brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends.
