Mr. James Curtis McKoy, son of Lena McKoy was born November 17, 1926 in Lillington, North Carolina.
James was drafted into the U.S. Army at an early age. He served in World War II and the Korean War. He could speak fluent German and Japanese languages.
James was very handy with building and repairing things from handicap ramps to storage sheds and could also work on roofs. He loved to read. His favorite author was James Patterson. James was employed with and retired from the Chrysler foundry after 19 years. He was a member of the Prince Hall Free and Accepted Masonic Order.
James was married to Mildred (Burrus) McKoy for 64 years who preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Darna Reshell Walker of Indianapolis, IN; Helen Banks of North Carolina; grandson, Jamaine (Heather) Walker; 2 great-granddaughters who he cherished, Makayla and Mirissia Walker along with a host great nieces, nephews and friends.
